I came across these coats a few weeks ago, but I keep forgetting to mention them. A lot of people have been asking about coats lately, so I'd thought I'd post this here in its own thread.
A Lady makes these coats -for $20 and the profits go to DRNA. They look very much like the ones I am making myself...I wish I had seen them first.
A girl that ordered one, posted an email from the maker on another BB. I will copy the email here.

The coats are made of soft, Polartec fleece. They fasten under the neck and
chest with Velcro. My Talley loves her coat so much that she wears it
around the house like a bathrobe.
I need the following measurements: length from base of neck to just
where the tail begins (or where you'd like the back edge of the coat to be),
diameter around the chest at the biggest/deepest part and diameter
around the neck. I also need to know a little about your dachsie, such as
coat and color (for example, red smooth), sex, age, personality traits. The
latter item helps me pick the decorative buttons that go at the back of the
neck.
The cost is $20 per coat, which includes everything. The check or money
order should be made payable to Dachshund Rescue of North America. Once
I receive your check, it takes me about a week to make it and get
it back out to you via priority mail. My mailing address is Jennifer
Allen, 106 Corley Court, Griffin, Ga. 30224.
I have lots and lots of fleece in many colors. Do you have a favorite
for your dachsie?
