Ok ok, barking is a way of talking and singing! :hug2: Mine will chime in when I sing Happy Birthday or do a song or say something high pitched and hold the note--Rudy and Scruffy will howl..it is so cute! I am sure they are responding to the pitch. I can instantly turn them off too. I say no bark and bam..it is all ssshhhhh unless every once in a great while Oakley will let out a squeal, he hates to obey..so stubborn it kills him! :eekdevil:

I have tried to get Charlie to sing and even speak, he will not do neither. I tried howling but he just looks at me with that cocked to the side head look, like "shut up already, you look stupid ma." My mom has a cocker that sings for treats, that is the only thing she knows how to do though. How do you get yours to sing?

I chose other because Cocoa only sings if someone is playing the drums on my front door. :sofunny:

She'll sing and sing and sing for however long the musician keeps on drumming. Then she sing opera if the drummer doesn't come inside to congratulate her lovely singing. :dizzy:

She decided to join in the other night while one of the contestants was singing. I forget which it was...but she was better than they were that night

Roxy is definately NOT the next doxy idol. She, like her hoomom sounds horrible when she sings. She has to be in the mood, she will "talk" kind of a concerned sounding whine and I talk back and eventuallyshe will howl, which sounds like I'm killing her!:yikes:

Houdini and I sing every morning...he could be a star...and then he wimpers and whines if I don't say oh that was beautiful!

2 years ago, Lucie won the price for best singer at the Atlanta Howl-O-Weenie DARE event :cheer:

We found out about her talent when she was one year old.
See, we were coming back from our local casino. It was our first (and last) time there and we won $200 :party6: Sooo all excited, we were telling Lucie about our evening saying "papa and maman won YAY" and it is then her talent came up!

She reacts at the happy "YaY" by moaning, doing funny noise to finally howl all happy and the only thing to stop her is a treat :D

Last year, at the Doxie New York October Fest, at the end of the song, the crowd screamed YaY... which Lucie happily answer at and so loud that all the crowd of 300 people were all looking at us

LMAO @ Lucie! That is too cute.

My pup will sing too... and she'll get really bothered when someone else sings or dances around her. It's like she HATES to watch it or hear. That's my little Puritan dog. ;)

Every once in awhile Ally will howl but not very often. I have never heard her sing though. It's cute when she does but it's not very often.

Yes Panda sings. She has 3 songs that she will belt out on her
own. If I even start whispering the words she will start in
on the song. She like to talk/sing on the speaker phone to
my mom & nieces at least twice a day. (lond distance of course)

Snickers will sing at the top of her lungs! Heaven forbid a firetruck goes by at 3 in the morning, she will sing and sing, she howls so pretty, she has a high pitched voice. And of course, when she starts, the the rest of the pack has to join in :dizzy2:

She doesn't necessarely sing, but she does talk stuff on people. HooDad and I were talking about a boy across the street skating boarding, and he kept falling, not hard, and just wouldn't stay on his board. So Lillie decided she needed in on the action, and just started talking away. Very cute!

Baby girl "bangs her head"-when Daddy plays his bass, she looks up at the bass amp and bounces:bounce3:

If Lexi wants to play and no one is paying attention to her she will sing and not stop until someone gets on the floor to play. It is quite pitiful to listen to!! She also sings outside with the birds in the morning.

And baby boy will "sing" when there are sirens...it's hilarious:D

Corianne always instigated the singing... typically at 5am on Saturday. Casey and Tyler would chime it. I called them my 3-dog choir. :)

They sing a little, but they both talk and they do it constantly...to each other, to us, to some of our visitors. And I mean talk, NOT barking. They are a riot and Nidgie frequently sounds like a motor trying to start. Dweenger chides us when we 'dance' or hug or do anything together. He also lets us know if we are not moving fast enough for him and we need to hurry. They greet us when we get home and tell us when they want a blanket or to go out or to have a certain toy or eat or have a snack. We have encouraged them to talk and they seem to have no end to what they want to say.

Yes Harley loves to sing. Minnie hasn't developed her voice, YET! I guess Harley will have to coach her.

My doxie doesn't sing at all. I love it when they do though.

Mocha has never howled. I wonder what it would sound like. She only barks when someone rings the door bell or at people walking by when I have the front door open.

Leyna does sing.... but not really on command. When she's at daycare, she'll chime in if someone else is howling, it's really cute and super high-pitched!

My oldest dog Billy Jo was the only dog we had for 10 yrs and she used to ride all over with us. When we would get ready to leave we would tell her to sing the ride ride song if she wanted to go. She will sit and sing ride, ride, ride, ride , ride and it really sounds as if thats what shes saying. None of my pups do that. Tanner comes up and sort of talks and arrrrs arrs alot, but I cant say its singing not unless its some kind of rap music hes been listening to.

I had a rescue transport a few months ago who thought he was an opera star. Needless to say, my two boys joined him and I had the "Three Tenors" singing away in the back of my van. Miss Heidi was not impressed and did not join in. It was a looooong drive in the pouring rain with "musical accompanyment".

On their own, my crew just "rap" aka barking. Valentin can crack crystal with his voice. He hits notes higher than the girls can :faint:

I had a former furgirl who would sing with me all the time! My current furkids - not a note!

I had to say other, because Solly will sing when I give him the hand signal we learned. Then he will sing whenever I get excited, like watching UT sports.
But normally if I am just singing or there is music playing he doesn't sing.

Yes, Abby sings. She turns barks into extended yowels and she's a very creative whiner. Did you see her birthday party invitation?

I'm trying to get Macy to sing. I try howling everyday to see if she will. Maybe one day she will.

OMG, peanut only sings to two things, the harmonica and the song jingle bells. We always leave the radio on when we leave for work. We assume that she picked up howling to jingle bells that way. The day after thanksgiving until christmas day,our radio plays christmas music24/7. She won't sing to deck the halls, or silent nite, just jingle bells. My hubby plays the harmonica and peanut will let out these screechy howls that I swear can crack ear drums!!LOL
