to my instructions. I was very clear: do a pregnant cut underneath, trim under armpits/ears/tail and around feet. I pointed out the two nails that they missed the last time and asked for those two nails to be cut. That was it. I told her not a full grooming, just need to cool her down a little bit.
I had posted before that her fur had finally gotten long enough to lay down in January and she was looking more like a dachshund than a teddy bear. I was planning to leave the hair long this time and just clean up the belly.
Apparently when I told her I wanted to cool her down a little bit she took that to mean thinning shears all over her. Now her hair is about an inch long and standing up again. :pullhair:

I know you are probably furious!! But - I'll bet she still looks beautiful...
Guess it's time to find a new groomer!! Any pictures of your 'teddy bear' so we can assess the damage??

Oh, I am so sorry! That must be disappointing! It will grow out though, at least it's hair. I'm sure she's still beautiful!

Oh I am sorry you had a bad grooming. I'm sure she still looks georgeous...just a little bit shorter. We have all had a bad haircut at some point in life...it grows back. I am sorry your groomer didn't listen to you though....bad groomer.....I'd be looking for a new one! :nono:
Do you have a picture you can post? I'm sure you'll only get compliments.

Makes you angry when they don't really listen, or hear just the parts they want. I bet she is still a cutie pie.

Here are some pics I just took. I'm not saying she's not still pretty, I'm just irritated that I could give such specific instructions and not get what I asked for. I'm also wondering if there's some sheepdog somewhere long on top and short below, with trimmed feet, hiney, ears, and arm(leg) pits. :D

Btw, that third pic looks like she has bald spots, but it's just the way the light is hitting it.

Thanks for posting the pictures. She's still adorable...but I can see how you'd be upset.
Thank goodness hair grows back!! Just a suggestion - if you have any pictures of the cut you DO like - take them with you to the next groomer so there is no misunderstanding.

Still beautiful, however I'd be upset and looking for a new groomer if possible.

I know its upsetting when they do that. I took Buddy a while back and was not pleased at all.
They missed toenails,,,,time to look for someone else maybe:blush:

That is frustrating... it will grow back but that doesn't relieve the frustration of not getting what you asked for. :pullhair: Maybe time to look for a new groomer... I'd start looking for one who may have experience with long haired Dachshunds.

I feel for u! I have had a bad groomer cut before and I just found another one that was willing to listen and make sure I was happy and it all worked out. She is still a beauty.:hug2:

She'd still be pretty if all her hair fell out. Tell the little darling to join the club - I just got a bad haircut. I guess people groomers dont listen either.

She is still beautiful, but you must have been mega frustrated when you picked her up!
She is still gorgeous but that's got to be frustrating when they don't listen to you!
