Oh Tyanne - that's my favorite halloween book too! Mostly because the Myer family are dachsies, but also because the book helps me get my kindergarteners thinking about the important things in life - like wearing a dumb costume rather hurting your Mom's feelings, and graciously NOT gettting even with your pals when they do something dumb, etc. Last year I made Penny a hotdog costume just like Oscars and she was in the Meroby Elementary Halloween Parade! My only photos are really dark - but what the heck....

Penny looks so proud wearing her costume. Wotan would like to go as a Hero Sandwich- just like the little Hallowiener ends up being in the story.
