Sorry for being absent again, but I am totally wiped out (as is Miss Lucy and Tess). We spent the weekend in Rendon, Texas at the lastest NADAC trial. Still no Q, but we have made great progress. In her first year in Agility, Lucy brought home 4 ribbons... mostly 3rd and 4th place. In the last month, she and Tess have brought home 19 ribbons (most of them are Lucy's because she can do more than 3 runs a weekend). The big progress is that she is finally doing contacts on equipment she has been scared of... she has always been confidant on her home equipment, but has been terrified of other contact equipment since she broke a nail and bailed off the top of a 6' A-frame. Today's first in regular agility was the first one that did not use her home equipment. She brought home 4 blue ribbons and Tess brought 2 blue and 1 red...

Great job!! :congratulations: I've heard a number of reports about how windy and dusty it was down there. Even better job for having to run through those conditions!!

Wow I envy you that you can do agility with your dogs. If I wasn't so overweight and body gone to "H" I would love to do agility. I wish I could come down and watch you guys do your thing. It is so much fun even just watching those long little doggies go over all the equipment.

I went to a pet fair this weekend. One of the girls that just opened up a new faciliaty for training said. "I still use HoBo as an example that doxies can and do love agility."
He was my mini wirehair only 8 lbs. But went wild just going to dog classes. OOp'z agility classes. He didn't mind OB but loved his obstacles and loved the other dogs no matter what size.
After she said that I silently shed a few tears. Over some wonderful memories.
I just had to share this with others that understand.

:party5: Congratulations...sound like a job well done by you and your puppers! Sounds like a tiring but fun sport to be involved with you dogs. Seems like you and your pups really enjoy it. Keep up the good work! :hug2:

Glad I got to see you again, too! Lucy looks just terrific these days. Lots of green beans, I see.
