Hello Dear Dudley
*It has been almost 2 years since you left us. Oh how we miss you our fierce protector. We miss your loyalty, how you wrapped around my neck when I would watch TV. How you would carry your food bowl (full of food) into the Dinning room to eat (you never would eat in the kitchen). How you would run and jump on the stool to pose for me when ever I picked up the camera, you were such a little ham. How you made us laugh when you would push Daddy away when he would kiss me, and you would cover my face with endless kisses.
I'm sorry that the last place we ever took you was the place you hated most (The Vets) Sorry that I could not bare to hold you while you went away. Dr. S held you in her arms wrapped in your blankie till there was no more pain.
They say you are at the Rainbow Bridge running on those little bowed legs, those floppy ears flying in the wind, with all your new friend . Have a good time Little Buddie (your Dads name for you) We will miss you forever.

Thank you for sharing some of your beautiful photos of Dudley, Joyce. I remember the day after reading the news of his passing. I was in Petsmart and met a little Dachshund puppy. I asked his new owner "What's his name?" She proudly said "Dudley!" My eyes filled with tears and I petted the little guy's head and told the young woman she had chosen a very special name. :candle:

What a beautiful tribute for your little man. Its always so hard when they go. I know he's making lots of new friends at the bridge, happy and healthy and that he took with him all the love you showed him.

It really does not seem like two years. I also remember feeling sad when we learned of Dudley's passing. Loved your sweet little words. Very personal. You can feel the warmth.
