Hi Mark and Jean,

I just thought I would add this post to make sure you see the thread "10:47 AM" under the adoption/rescue forum. There appears to have been a glitch with the board this morning.

Thank you,

Tom

Thanks Tom,

Although there have been some server issues, at this point we're looking in to it. We lost a thread in the members forum earlieer in the week and attributed that to the changes being made at the server. When we're sure we will let everyone know.

Let's hope there's a way to retrieve the lost Queenie thread. http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/frown.gif

OK, the news is that the server "burped" (whatever that means http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/biggrin.gif) just as the Submit Reply button was hit (what are the odds). We have recovered and/or restored anything we could, which wasn't much.

I will email Andrea about the Queenie thread. http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/frown.gif

Thanks for you efforts. Being a system administrator myself I understand those technical terms like burp.<IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm12.gif" border=0>

The Queenie thread is still there, but since it lost posts from December 5th forward . . . it's down the list a bit. It is now 5 pages instead of 7. http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/frown.gif

Mark,
Just to let you know the Queenie thread we are talking about was an updated one. And it was quite long. I am guilty. I mean that I was trying to post and it happened when I tried to post. I sent pm to Andrea with my regrets. I am so sorry, because all the messages were for her, Queenie and Andrea's dad. Thanks to all who helped to reassure me that it was a hic cough. Or what ever. I just feel so sick about it. I almost was like going to give up on the site thinking I really messed something up big time. Then I thought about all of the love here, and the doxies themselves. And now I thank Tom for special time in caring for my moment of distress. I hope Andrea still realizes all the love out here for her and the QUEEN!

Hi Rosalyn,

It absolutely was not your fault. It could have happened to anyone posting at the servers inopportune timing. In fact, it has done so two other times in the past 2 weeks to a much smaller degree.

My understanding is that the largest user of this server is being moved to a server of their own and that should help eliminate the problem.

Thank goodness Jean acted quickly and was able to save most of the thread. Now that I am aware of what she did . . . I will also be able to act quickly . . .

Please don't even consider leaving the board. There is nothing any member could do to "make" something like this happen. The odds of you clicking Send at the precise moment of the "burp" must be phenomenal (you should get a Lottery ticket). http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/smile.gif

Take care,

Mark
