Well it's officially one year and one day since we brought Joey home.

John and I were going to wait to get a dog until after we got a house.... I wasn't crazy about dogs but since John put up with my two kitties, I agreed we could get one.... after we bought a house, and the dog would be John's responsibility and the dog would not sleep with us in bed or be allowed up on our furniture. And only one dog.
As I think back on it, I feel like I was so mean.
But as soon as I saw my lil' Joe I knew he was meant to be ours. Yes, we got him from a pet store (which I try educating people not to do) and we got lucky with him as I've heard about some many other pups who had problem after problem.
Joey melted into me as I picked him up... an instant bond. He was only about 3 pounds at the time and about 2 and a half months old.
Needless to say, Joey changed how I feel about dogs and he's my love... he knows it too. Spoiled lil' buger.
I still remember carrying him out to the car and holding him in my lap as we brought him home.
Here's Joey today, one year exactly after I brought him home.
