pictures?

Hello-

We will be taking pictures of Chiefy this weekend. Got a question. We will get them on disc. How do you post them on the board from the disc?

Hi Loren,

If you are using Internet Explorer it's very easy. One method is to go to a site like photopoint and upload the picture via their step by step instructions and be sure to jot down the URL or web address where the pics appear on the internet. Then when posting your topic there is a button just above the window where you type your message. It is the button just to the left of the button that has a picture of a speaker on it. It allows you to display the web address to the post you're making. When you click that button it asks for the URL where the pictures appear, enter it and click OK.

The other way is to upload it direct (so the picture actually displays in the post) and that is the button with the paper clip on it. Simply save the pic on your HD, click the button, click Browse and navigate to the picture on your HardDrive. Select it and click Upload now. This second option does not display in Netscape. If possible, use your photo manager to reduce the resolution as requested in the pop up window when using this second option.

Displaying the picture in the post can also be achieved by using an HTML fragment to make it display from a website like photopoint. I tried to insert the command, but it keeps pulling up pictures. http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/lol.gif Someone else may be able to post the command.

Hi again Loren,

The button to upload directly to the post does not appear when using Netscape. So, using Netscape limits you to the first or the last method.
