Crosspost from another BB: This lady is in VA

**************************************
5 month old smooth haired female, all shots, very friendly and loves everyone including children and pets. Loves the cats, but they don't like her, and I'm afraid they're going to eventually hurt her. In fairness to the cats who were here first, we need a new home for her. She's AKC registered and was purchased from a breeder. Adoption fee required. Email laurentearle@aol.com

maybe she'd keep her if she knew how to make the situation safer for dachsie and cats.

heres the link to the BB if you'd rather post than email her http://acmepet.petsmart.com/canine/breeds/dachshund/bboard/messages/3871.html

here is more of her story:

In addition to the problems with the cats......my husband was the one who purchased the dog. She's sweet and all, but I'm more of a cat person. My husband and I recently separated and he moved into an apartment where pets are not allowed, so he dumped the dog on me. Now, I'm a single mother working full time, taking care of a house all on my own. I know this probably sounds selfish, but I just don't have the time or energy to give her the life she deserves. I am thinking about what is best for the DOG. And I believe a new home with someone who has more time to spend with her is best for her needs. It's not fair to the dog to spend her life in a crate because no one is home to watch/play with her. Does that make sense?

I e-mailed her personally and offered to help her. I am thinking she might want to place the dach herself and since she is 5 months she won't have a problem. I have offered our services should she find the job to difficult. She e-mailed me back and said she would remember DRNA is she can't place her.
