We attended an agility trial in Shreveport, La this past weekend (5/6 & 5/7) The event was held at an indoor soccer facility so it was on carpet. I think both Merry and Badger liked the surface because they really ran !!
In fact, most dogs seemed to like it.
On Saturday Badger earned his Excellent A Jumpers with Weaves title!! Woo Hoo!! In Open Standard he came real close to an open Q but he had a little struggle getting over the A-frame which cost him time (Pics below). That was my fault because I didn't give a good approach. Merry had fun in Open jumpers Both days she Zoomed, especially Sunday, but she keeps messing up her weave poles.... but she had fun.

Here are some pictures.

Badger doing a nice Teeter.

Down on the Table (He has to stay there till the judge counts to 5 and Go)

:yahoo: WTG Badger and Merry!! That is really impressive on the A-frame. I think Scruffy would attempt it and Wally but my other two would be scardy cats...:) Now maybe I missed something, where is Bart? He doesn't do agility?

You always start on the A-frame and the teeter lower.. they are adjustable height wise.. as they get better and more confident then you can start raising it up. It's real easy for a dog to get a phobia about something like the teeter if they try to do it before they are ready

Now maybe I missed something, where is Bart? He doesn't do agility?
Well, Bart is very athletic but you have to have an attention span to do agility or obedience... or any thing else aside from chasing small furry critters... and Bart does not have much of an attention span.

That makes sense on the A-frame and teeter. I would never try anything like that without a professional agility person around. I think Scruffy may be like Bart..uh oh... Time will tell me more, he is learning basic commands though fairly well now, esp "settle".:D

Wow! Those are great pics! I could look at tons more of them if you had them! (haha - hint!) I am so impressed with Bart on the the A-Frame - up must be okay to teach, but down must really take time. I love the Air Merry Pic! What a great action shot of her. I'd love to see an agility trial some day. Congrats to all of you!
