Hooray! I've been approved for adoption!

Everything is set for my adoption through DRNA. I'm very excited to be picking up my new, sweet furbaby this Friday.

She's a tiny, 6-lb, 6-year-old smooth (red). She was surrendered because she had bad breath. :annoyed: She had a dental and lost some teeth but is doing very well and is otherwise healthy according to her foster mom. She's very happy and loves to play but most of all wants to be close to her foster mom (foster dad, if mom's not available). She was apparently bred twice but didn't receive prenatal care and that's what caused the problems with her teeth. Poor thing.

I went out this weekend and bought her a pink bobo, plus a few other soft toys she might enjoy and her own little food and water bowls. I also ordered a hug-a-dox harness (in very feminine butterfly pattern). She'll be sleeping in the big bed with Albert and me but I'm still looking for a bed she can burrow into during the day.

I'll try to borrow a digital camera (mine bit the dust) and will post pictures as soon as I can.

My little rescue-rascal is munching on a bone right now, but she says "hi" and she thinks it's wonderful, that you open your home and heart to a poor soul in need. :hug2:

"Surrendered because of bad breath". Sounds like previous owner wanted a toy more than a companion. :pullhair: But it appears the bad breath was her ticket from a bad home to a good home :D .

My Peanut has the butterfly hug-a-dox harness. It looks very pretty on her and it's the only thing she doesn't immediately try to remove when we put it on her.

:congratulations: on adopting Ginger. She is a wonderfull little girl and I am sure you will love her. If her foster Mom has not changed it she has on a yucky purple collar (little girls needs pretty collars).

I'd love to post pictures but my digital camera bit the dust a while back so I'm dependant on borrowing cameras right now. And with Punkin's upcoming surgery, there won't be any new camera in our future for quite a while!

Anyway, I'm hoping her hug-a-dox arrives soon and will definitely get pictures of her modeling that. She certainly is a cutie!
