If anyone is in or near Shawnee, OK, Sherry and I will be going to 5 shows in 4 days at the end of the month. It is Friday-Monday with Friday having an all-breed earlier and a dachshund specialty in the evening.

I live about 45 miles from Shawnee. I would love to come see the show and see your dogs.:cheer: Is it over Memorial weekend? Do you have a web site or any more info on where it is being held? My sister commutes to Shawnee to work everyday from Norman. If you want to know anything about the town, ask and I'm sure I can find out for you. :welcome2: to Oklahoma in advance.

There is also going to be an agility tirial going on at the same site. I know a number of folks who are going to be there but I don't like traveling on that holiday weekend... else we would have gone too.

Go to this site http://www.onofrio.com/shwpubs.html and select one of the days.. then select the judging program to see when Dachshunds will be showing.

Go here:
http://www.onofrio.com/jp/MUSK1JP.pdf

You can print it out and it will tell you what rings were are in and what times we show for all of the shows. There are about a BUNCH of pages...LOL

Good luck Beckie! (not that you need it with your beautiful babies). I'm still waiting to hear that you're competing somewhere in Ontario, CANADA. Well a girl can dream now can't she?:D

Just wanted to say it was nice meeting you. I wish we could have chatted a little more. We had to head home before things were over Friday night to let our own dogs get out.

I hear you did well at the show over the weekend. Congratulations.

I have wanted to break back into this for a while but do not have a show dog currently. I have never showed a small dog, is it much more difficult? I showed Dalmatians 18 years ago so I am rusty to say the least. I have been looking for a pupper I can eventually show but nothing yet. Being a rescuer I am a terrible judge of what is correct or show quality cause to me the old, the blind/deaf and three legged ones are just as beautiful as any so I think I need help... LOL Have fun at the shows !!!

HA! I wish I could say I did well. I suppose as Faith breeder and her finishing the first day with a 4 point major means I did something, but oterwise. Just a reserve to a 5 point major on Hope, and 2 reserves to 4 point majors on Stoney means I was in the purple and white ribbons!
Now Sherry on the other hand, finished Faith the first day, She took 3 consecutive 5 point majors in 2 days on Beanie Baby!! (BTW, Beanie Baby was out of the litter (Bean) who died about 24 hours after giving birth to her litter. Sherry hand raised 5 puppies and I told her she would enter the ring 3 times with Beanie and take 3-5 point majors on her. I tried to bet her $100.00 but instead she said she would buy me dinner if I was right...Well I was right.
The #1 question at the first three shows was...Is Beanie Finished Yet???
