Just wanted to say hello to everyone and briefly introduce myself and family. We are a family of four who are owned by three corgis (1 show male and 2 spade bitches) and 2 miniatures wirehaired dachsie's. My daughter got her dachsie for junior show and her little sister came along. we live 1 hour from the breeder and they show the 2nd little girl. Ima and Mini are our dachsies. I show and raise Pembroke welsh corgis but do of course love (who could help but love) the dachsies and corgis. My corgis are a male I show and two females one 8 years old (retired and spayed) and one female 6 years old (retired due to being diabetic and had to spay her in order to control her blood sugar) and the mighty littles Ima and Mini who show in juniors with my daughter and bred with my daughter, myself and the breeder. They have been fun and have done very well showing. In my past time I work at a hospital, teach obedience and puppy kindergarten.

Hi kotto & Welcome to the board! http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/wavey.gif

That's quite a crew you have there! http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/smile.gif

We have 2 Mini WH Dachsies, Duck Butter (7 years & spade) and Masse (mass-say, 4 years & spade), the daughter of Duck Butter. Our newest addition is our Catahoula (Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog), Top Spin who is 20 months old, 82 pounds and Grey Leopard in color.

We're really glad you're here and look forward to getting to know you. http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/jacks.gif

What a household!! With so many dogs so low to the ground, how do all of you manage to stay upright? I would be falling over the little mobile footstools constantly, I'm sure!

Our former upstairs neighbors had two beautiful Pembroke Welsh corgis, Maggie and Berkeley, and my standard black-and-tan was in love with both of them! They returned her affection, and we had leash-tangling love-fests in the halls all the time. They were lovely dogs, and both Peaches and I still miss them.

With your training background, we'll want to rely on you for good advice in the housebreaking, dominance-fighting, and general behavior departments! How nice to have an expert among us!
