Just wanted to take the chance to introduse myself and my furbabies. I am the proud mom of Sadie (a long-hair mini dachshund), Abbie (a toy poodle) and 2 cats. They are all my babies, but Sadie was my first. She had to put up with all my typical new dog owner mistakes and I made them all. Wouldn't take anything for her. She is such a joy. Oh well... enough for now. I look forward to talking to everybody.

Welcome, dfrancis! I have a long-haired mini dachshund too, a three-year-old named Annie. We have an extended dachshund family--my mother has a long-hair named Molly, and my sister and her partner have a long-hair (Lucy) and a new rescue smooth-hair (Danny Boy). We'd love to see pictures of your babies!

What pretty, old fashioned names your dachsies have, Sadie and Abby!

I have 2 smooth minis, Penny and Maggie. Penny will turn 2 this month and Maggie is 15 months old. I'm STILL making those new dog owner mistakes that you mentioned, but my babies are pretty forgiving! http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/smile.gif
