Meetup Activities

Can anyone suggest some good activities that our dachshund meetup can do during our next gathering? We usually meet outdoors in a public dog park. Usually get less than 10 dachsies at a time. Thanks!

i did not make it to our last meetup, but the organizor was going to do something with the dogs and the Texas Holdum' poker craze. I will see if I can get details of how the dogs played poker (for dog cookies only of course)

You could do a dress up theme meeting where you have members come all dolled up and have a little fashion show.

You could do a tea party theme one time with drinks for puppies and cookies - good for a hot summer day with lemonade for humans.

You could do a weinie roast as part of any meetup or as a theme to a meetup. Not a hot dog thing - but like where they 'roast' a person and tell stories about them. You could ask each member to come prepared to share a story about their pupper.

You could do a birthday party theme for a meetup where you celebrate all members birthdays at the same time and do dorky theme hats, balloons, ask each member to bring a wrapped doggie gift - cheap.

You can do an agility day.

You coudl possibly have a pool party if you had access to a plastic kiddie pool and some water.

Think themes and plan your meetups around them.
