I missed the dachsies at the show today!

Well I decided I would drive down to Richmond to see the VA Kennel Club Show today but all didn't go as planned! What is normally a 1hr 45 min drive took me 3 1/2 hours! :eek: The traffic on Interstate 95 was moving about 10mph. I thought about getting off and heading back home but the northbound lanes were stopped too! I finally got to the show and the dachsies had already shown! What a bummer! So the only thing to do was hit the booths and see what I could buy! Of course I did most of my shopping at the DRNA booth!!!
It only took me a mere 2 hours to get back home!

I did get a couple of neat shirts.

Ahh.. bummer that you got stuck in traffic... But Dog shows are a great place to shop too!!! Lots of stuff you don't see at your local pet stores!

Oh I hate getting stuck in traffic. Sorry you missed what you wanted to see most, but you sure did get some nice things. Boy would I love to find some fabric like that in the belly band. That is adorable.

I must say that I really appreciated Connie driving down. Even if she did miss the doxies. Traffic was ugly all around today. Then to top it off the Indy Race Cars are in town. As I drove home there was major thunderstorms.

Turns out one of the B/T standard wires shown today was owned by Patricia Grant of NYC and I know her. Her Zack is a very regal boy but he did not place today. There was also a georgous LH Cream mini there today, she was magnificiant. Our booth was right across from the ring the doxies were shown in so I got to see most of them.

Outside of bully sticks for the furkids my shirt was the only thing I bought. It has a yellow back ground and I think I like Connies better.

I thought about going tomorrow but not in that traffic! I would love to get a hold of that Doxie belly band though. Does anyone know how to contact the vendors that are there? I am looking to have some more things to have available at our picnic next month. I will have to go to the DRNA store to see what they have. So who took best of breed in the Doxies? Smooth, LH, wire?

Ewwww, I hate traffic!! I went to the dog show, here locally in May. I also missed the Dachshunds! So I understand ...Bummer, big time!! ...but I like the dacshie things you got!! Love the shirts!

Bummer !!! That traffic on 95 gets worse by the minute it seems. :pullhair: I went to a NCA show in Lignum yesterday, and now I'm really glad I didn't take 95 but Rt. 29 instead. I would have never gotten there either from what I read here. :blush: (Tessa won her class, btw. :D)
