Hello everyone! In the next month or so, I will have a wonderful dachsie joining the family. I want to get started early and learn everything I can. I figure that this is the best place to get information - from people who have dachshunds and know them best.

Welcome!
I have a miniature smooth Dachshund named Timber The Digger(Timber). I show him in junior showmanship. I also will begin handling a Canaan Dog (http://www.infodog.com/wm01/garden/DL71893603.JPG) for a nearby breeder.

Toby and Data are gorgeous! I so cannot wait till my new buddy gets here. I'm currently waiting for pictures of the prospective parents, but I know he'll be gorgeous. We've pretty much decided that his name will be Ceasar Maximus Aurelius, but we'll just call him Max. I can't wait! Thanks again to everyone. This is a great place!
