Just wanted to introduce myself ... I'm Jan, and I live in Charlotte, NC with Bear, a 12-yr-old red standard LH male and Dixie, a 16-wk-old B&T mini smooth girl. I've owned/been owned by/loved dachsies for almost 20 years now, and wouldn't trade 'em for anything! Anyone else out there in NC?

Thanks for the warm welcome. I work part-time in a pet shop in Huntersville, NC in addition to working for a vet. One of our clients at the animal hospital, who's also a customer at the shop, has 4 dachsies! I thought she'd won the Most Patient Dog Owner Award until I met a girl who has SEVEN!! and they're all pets!
One of the perks of working in the pet shop is meeting the customers' dogs. In the last 3 days I've met Maddie, a 7-mo-old LH mini, and Snoopy, a 2-yr-old smooth "tweenie." And boy, do I ever get the once-over from my two when I get home!!
