to introduce myself. I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We got weiner boy in March of this year. He was a rescue from a kill shelter. His original name was Lobo, but he never really answered to that. Our other dog's name is Mambo (a heller-mix), so that's probably why.
I want to thank Shelley, a rescue angel, who took weiner boy into her home and nursed him thru heartworm. When we brought him home he was pretty skinny, but in good health. He's now filled out and is very happy. He even loves our cat! The first few weeks were rough with the usual housebreaking and animal adjustments. But things are great now...we just can't forget to let him out after dinner!<IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm1.gif" border=0>
anyway--I'm glad Shelley sent me the link to this board..and for her huge heart towards my family. She's a gem!

Barbara, it's great to have you and your new pup among us. Have to agree--that Shelley IS a gem, and it's nice to hear somebody say it out loud!

Welcome! I'll look forward to reading your posts!
