Hello Everyone,

My name is Connie. My husband and I have owned Dachshunds for over 25 years. Our current boss is Christy the IV. She will be twelve in a few weeks and rules the roost around here. We have just become involved in the Central Texas Dachshund Rescue Group and we have rescued two little males so far. One is Andre and he is about 2 years old. He is quite a toot. The other we rescued just this week and his name is Dudley. He is around 10 years old and you can tell from looking at his scars and ragged ears that he has had a tough time of it. They all three live with us and four other mutt rescues. We live in the country and people drop their pets off out here all the time, so rescued dogs have been a part of our lives for quite some time. I'm glad to be a new member of this Bulletin Board.http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/happy.gifhttp://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/happy.gif

Hi Connie, welcome. Your glad to be here and we are certainly glad to have you. We'll look forward to many stories about your babies and the good advice I'm sure you have to offer.

I'm Lanie and live in Brooklyn, NY. I have 2 little ones - Pluto, 12 years old, b & t smooth tweenie rescue and Shana, 8 years old, also b & t mini rescue. I've just become a member of Almost Home Dachshund Rescue Service, my first foray into rescue.

Hi Connie! I just noticed your posts below and sent you an e-mail from CTDR. I am certain from the pecan story that Christy IV would be very interested in DWD. She will have to do some reading to figure out what DWD is all about, but my senior (almost 14) girl thinks that pecans are very important to DWD. Rena
