Just adopted

Hi I am new and I just adopted my doxie through Petco. On saturdays they have dogs from a local shelter come and you can play with them etc....Mimi was the only dog not barking and sleeping and once I had her in my arms everyone wanted her......but there was no way I was putting her down. I adopted her immediately without even telling my husband. It has been less than a week and she is already part of our family.

Me, too - THANK YOU for adopting a furkid!! I adopted my two (Jack and Lexie) through a Texas dacshund rescue out of Austin and now I try to volunteer for that group (CTDR) when time permits. We're doing a Dallas garage sale in September.

Your story is very much like my daughter's. She & her husband adopted their mini Sammy in much the same way. He's 8 1/2 yrs old. How old is Mimi?
