tracking/earthdog trials?

Does anyone have any info as to how I get started with either of these? I am in Louisiana and would love to start my Louie and Davy.

Go to http://dachshund-dca.org/
there, you can find your closest dachshund club, and a contact person. They should be able to help you with the whens and wheres of earthdog trials closest to you.
For tracking, www.akc.org (http://www.akc.org) dig around and you will find a listing of tracking clubs. Tracking is an all breed thing, not dachshund specific. so, you just need to find a tracking club nearby and take a class. It is a lot of fun. You can also go to www.pawmark.com/sta/ (http://www.pawmark.com/sta/) this is a very comprehensive site for a tracking club, and it has links to lots of other tracking clubs and stuff.
