Anyone have any fun suggestions/recipes for finger foods? I'm going to a casual get-together & I wanted to bring something different from my usual...

This is from all recipes, was rated 5 stars and has over 600 ratings. They are REALLY spicy if you put in all red pepper. Also you can stuff alot more than the 12 oz of mushrooms with just one batch of stuffing.

12 whole fresh mushrooms
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray. Clean mushrooms with a damp paper towel. Carefully break off stems. Chop stems extremely fine, discarding tough end of stems.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and chopped mushroom stems to the skillet. Fry until any moisture has disappeared, taking care not to burn garlic. Set aside to cool.
When garlic and mushroom mixture is no longer hot, stir in cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, black pepper, onion powder and cayenne pepper. Mixture should be very thick. Using a little spoon, fill each mushroom cap with a generous amount of stuffing. Arrange the mushroom caps on prepared cookie sheet.
Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the mushrooms are piping hot and liquid starts to form under caps.

THis is the easiest queso in the worl.

spread one block of cream cheese (not fat free) in the bottom of a pie plate. Spread one cup of salsa (any heat you like) over it, and then sprinkle 1 cup of sredded cheddar over top. Bake uncovered for about 20 minutes (when cheese bubbles but is not brown it is ready) in a 350 oven. Stir and serve with chips.

These are so good.. I had them at a party and had to get the recipe. I make them alot when I have people over. It's also a Weight Watcher's recipe so not too bad for you.

Artichoke Tarts

Servings | 8
Preparation Time | 15 min
Cooking Time | 15 min
Level of Difficulty | Easy

Ingredients
6 sprays cooking spray
16 pieces wonton wrapper(s)
1/4 cup low-fat shredded cheddar cheese
4 oz fat-free cream cheese, softened
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 Tbsp Dijon mustard
2 Tbsp sweet red pepper(s), chopped
7 oz canned artichoke hearts, without oil, drained and chopped
1/4 cup parsley, fresh, sprigs

Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Coat a 16-hole miniature muffin pan with cooking
spray.

2.Gently press 1 wonton wrapper into each muffin hole, allowing ends to
extend above cups. Coat edges of wrappers with cooking spray and set aside.

3.Combine cheeses, cayenne pepper and mustard in a medium bowl; mix well. (I usually go easy on the cayenne pepper unless you want them spicy)
Stir in red pepper and artichoke hearts; spoon about 1 teaspoon of cheese
mixture into each muffin cup.

4.Bake until cheese mixture is set and edges of wrappers are lightly
browned, about 15 minutes. Garnish with parsley and serve. Yields 2 tarts
per serving.

Stromboli...

I'm from the Philadelphia area, and we make this ALOT. Hard to give you the exact amounts of ingred., but I'll try.

Defrost 2 frozen white bread doughs. Roll each one out separately, until its about 12" x about 16" long. I use slicing pepperoni from the deli - place 1 layer with pepperoni touching about 1" from the edge, of each one. Place 3 slices of deli style provolone cheese on each one, and then spread about 6 oz on grated mozzarella on each one. Roll up like a jelly roll, sealing it as you roll, so the filling stays put. Place them side by side on the cookie sheet, about 3" apart. Make some cuts, about 5-6 down the center of each one for the steam. Bake at 375 till done... check around 25 min., and tap the loaf. It it sounds hollow, its done. It will be golden brown looking, like bread. I've baked them as long as 40 min., depends on the oven. I also use parchment paper when I bake - makes for easy clean up, and the bread doesn't stick to the sheet.

Cool on rack for about 10 min., slice into 1" or 1.5" slices & serve.

This is also fantatic with cooked italian sausage & peppers inside.

This is a quick little recipe I found in Southern Living a few years ago.

Hot Bites..

On package of Puff Pastry (Found in the freezer section)
Thaw that and on a cornmeal covered surface roll out to abut 16 X 12 inches.
Cut into 2 inch squares (Pizza cutter works well for this)
Take one slice of smoked sausage (I use the little cocktail sized ones .. about 1/4 to 1/3 of one per square) and place in the middle of the square. Top with one slice of Jalapeño (pickled kind in the jar).
Fold up the squares from the corners, moisten edges and seal
Bake at about 350 on a cookie sheet sprinkled with cornmeal ... should take about 10 - 12 minutes.. just keep watching and don't over cook

Stromboli...

Defrost 2 frozen white bread doughs.

Just wondering what brand of bread doughs you buy or where you get them? Are they just in the frozen section of the grocery store? I've never bought them before.. I think my husband will love this recipe. thanks.

Two favorites that are SUPER easy.

Buffalo Chicken Wing Dip (from an authentic Buffalonian)

Precooked chicken, shredded or cut up (I use one Louis Rich packs)
1 block cream cheese
1 can bleu cheese dressing (Marie's is the kind we use)
1 bag shredded cheddar
1 small bottle Frank's Hot Sauce

Marinate chicken in hot sauce overnight.
Spread cream cheese on the bottom of an 8 x 8 pan.
Place chicken in a layer over the cream cheese.
Dump the bleu cheese on top of the chicken.
Place the cheddar on top of the whole deal.

Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Serve with Tostitos. I personally guarantee your guests will like it, or you can send me the leftovers. ;)

Super easy French Bread pizza:

1 large bagette
1 bag shredded mozzerella
1 can pizza sauce (whatever the better brand is- cantina or something)
toppings (we use pepperoni, but i've tried peppers, onions, chicken, etc.)

Cut bagette in half lengthwise and in half like a giant hot dog roll.

Put sauce, cheese, and toppings on bread.

Bake 10 minutes at 350. Cut into bite sized strips. Mmmmmmmmm. (I make this for a dinner, too.)

Stromboli -
the frozen white bread doughs... I buy Rich's which I have found in the frozen breakfast food section, or the frozen section with the puff pastry & filo dough, or it may be near the frozen garlic bread - depends on the store. They come with 5 frozen loaves in a bag, or with 2 in a bag. There may be other brands.

In a pinch I have used the Pillsbury French Loaf, which comes in a can, and literally 'unrolled' it - flattened it & rolled it out, and then continued.

One of my friends makes her own dough with the bread machine. :D
Hope hubby likes it!!!
