View Full Version : Our Ohio August meetup

We met despite the heat and the dachsies all had a great time. Our hosts had a shady spot for us and lots of treats and refreshments for puppers and people alike. They even had a wading pool for the warm weiners! Susa & Isabel were able to attend again and Miss Isabel did wonderfully and she even went in the wading pool! Isabel now has her new car bed and she looks quite happy in it! Ilsa did her barking bit but even she decided it was too hot and settled down. :faint:

We will be planning anothe rmeetup for either Sept or Oct. Depends on everyones schedule. If you are interested in attending future meetups let me know. If you want to make a weekend of it we can help you find places to stay. This could be easier for those who live in other areas of the state. I have not heard of any other meetups elsewhere in Ohio except here in the Columbus area. We may have a place to meet indoors now over the winter months. I will be checking out the possibility someone suggested at our last event and hopefully that will work out.

Susan I have posted for all those who live in ohio for a fun dachshund event I would love to come to your next one too but Sept 23 in whitehouse there is a event called dog days of september with wiener dog races and then in Findlay on th 24th we have national dachshund races if your interested or anyone else gets interested just PM me I think we have a couple of ohioians and surrounding state DBBers that are comming!

I confess i forgot to charge the battery on my camera so it would be ready for the meetup so no pics were gotten by me this time!:sorry: We usually get so busy talking we forget to take pics! LOL

Leslie, I would love to come to either event this year. I will pass on the info about them to the other members of the meetup. I know a few of them plan to go to the dachsie races. This year my hooman daughter gets my attention and I am very ready to see her home safe! Have a great time!

Susan - I have pictures (not many though) and I'll try to email them to you in the next day or so and then you can post them. My computer was on the blink for a few days and I need to get everything connected again.

Must be something in the air in Columbus lately! My computer messed up too and it is frustrating not to be in touch! I will post the pics when you send them! Thanks Lynne! See you soon!
