Here's a close up of the attachment I used:

Here's Toby ready to have his nails done (he stays like that the whole time, such a good boy!!):

Wow - good boy, Toby!!! My last vet used a dremel right after they became available - my current vet isn't that up-to-date on new equipment, I guess, or just too cheap to buy it. Next time I go, I'll have to ask about it. The only problem is sometimes they heat up from friction and can cause pain (or snag hair, as mentioned) but if the tech knows what they're doing, they are MUCH better than clippers. I LIKE the smoother edges, especially.

Oh yes... can I say the dremel saved our life and my wedding?
But... once, I posted about how easy our life became on LJ. I was accused to be a cruel person *sigh* :dunno:
I had to justify myself with web pages about grooming with a dremel to prove it was fine :banghead: before having some one calling animal cruelty

Thanks for posting the pictures. I want to try this. It does look better than clipping.

:BlowKiss92: Thanks for the pictures Becky. I'm going to have to look for one one those for sure.
My Sheltie I had before Ally would lay just like Toby to have her nails done. She was such a good girl. I don't know why Ally has to be so difficult! :pullhair:
Tobys nails look perfect....good job. I keep telling Ally people pay good money to go to a saloon to have their nails done! :lol:I just want her to have
the prettiest nails on the block! :hearts:

No problem. Let me know when you get one and how Ally does with it.
Toby is a very good boy  .... Joey on the other hand can be a little :eekdevil: when it comes to his nails. But he did a lot better with the dremel than he has been doing with the clippers lately.
