Hi everyone!
This is Shennee, Buddy's Mommy; your newest member! We are having a wonderful time with Buddy! He is such a joy to have in our home. We think he is making the tranistion very well. Augie is watching over him, and taking care of him. He loves our walks around the neighborhood, and we sat outside on the front porch and talked with the neighbors as they walked by. He sits so nice next to you. I think he is getting used to our peaceful, quiet neighborhood. I will keep everyone posted as often as possible. Talk to you soon!

Hi Shennee,

It's nice to see you have your own member name. We look forward to hearing from you. With Buddy's past and the David and Augie bond I suspect Buddy will become your little boy. Our little dachshund friends always seem to pick out one family member to bond to. While they are social and generally like all family members (unless given a reason not to) they do tend to pick out one person for that special bond. I've even seen some dachshunds pick out the person who liked them the least (I guess it was a challenge) and win them over. That special person is the one they will run to if there is danger or if they are sick. Given there own free will that is the person they will snuggle with.

Good luck,

Tom and the boys (Frank and Tanner)

Welcome, Shen! It's nice to hear from you. As I've mentioned in other posts, I can't wait to see Buddy in a few months when that worried look on his face has gone away and he gets some of that dachsie self-confidence! He's such a little sweetie.
