Introduction

Hello Everyone, I'm new here and my name is Barb. I am a doxie foster mom for Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue. I am owned by 3 wonderful doxies of my own, 2 little red smooth mini boys, Itchy who is 3 and Charlie who is 2, and 1 standard wire mix (we're still trying to figure out the mix!), Freddie, who is age unknown but apprx 3 - he was a stray we rescued. I also have an ever-changing number of foster babies come through and bless my life. Right now I have Tango, who is a 1 yr old b/t smooth mini who will go to his forever home this week; Snoopy who is an 8 yr old b/t smooth small standard who was a serious case of owner neglect that we now have in rescue and are loving him back to health; and the one closest to my heart is Chi Chi, who is a 6 yr old red smooth mini who was attacked by a larger dog in his previous home and has a broken jaw which was surgically wired but which is not healing. Chi Chi will need yet another surgery for "bone plating" to have the jaw repaired and stabilized. In spite of his problems, he is a sweet, loving and happy little fellow who is an absolute delight. Hi Barb and crew,

Welcome to the board. A big thank you for all your foster work. I have two rescue LH males Frank 18 months a red standard was adopted from the local humane society. Tanner is a B&T dapple 2-3 years old adopted from Colorado Dachshund Rescue last July. Tanner is my little special needs boy. He was in foster care 2.5 months considered hard to place because of some shy aggressive problems. We are working on the problems and making some slow progress. Before the boys I had a mill mother rescue who I got from Hearts United. My local rescue rep keeps telling me how much help I am just by being out with my boys meeting people and informing them about rescue. She has placed several dogs with people I referred to her.

Welcome to the board!
I have a miniature smooth Dachshund named Timber The Digger. We compete in junior showmanship. Our second show is May 5.
Chi-Chi is so cute! I hope he gets better! Let us know how his surgery goes.

Welcome! I am new here also! So far everyone has been really great! I have been workin some with CCDR also! I did my first home check for them a few weeks ago! Hopefully I will fostering soon also! I am in the process of making arrangements to have my miniature Shih-Tzu neutered first! I have been working with some different rescue and transport groups and have met some wonderful people and fur babies! I am also from FL! I am not living there now but was born and raised there!
