This morning I had the most heart wrenching phone call, I have had in a long time. Woody, one of 'my' senior triplets passed away this morning. Please light a candle for Woodie and say a prayer for his family. He had only been with his adoptive family one month but they loved him dearly. We found out a week ago he had stomach cancer, however we were expecting a little longer with him.

The really sad part is Dachshund Rescue of North America, lost not one but three of our Seniors in the last 24 hours. Woodie, Sweetie and Cody were blessed to have have wonderful adoptive home to love them in there Senior years. It just seems like there was not enough time.

Lighting a :candle: for Woodie, Sweetie :candle: and Cody :candle:

So happy these little ones lived their lives out with lots of love and caring in their last days.

Even though the time was short - they left for the Bridge knowing that someone loved them very much! :hearts:

Oh how sad for everyone that this little doxies hearts touched. I am so glad that they all had a chance to have some love and comfort in there last days. Especially from humanes that cared for them and wanted them to know what it is like to be loved and adored. The way they deserved to be.

The best part is that they felt loved before they went to the bridge... run fast & free, little furbabies...:candle:

How terribly difficult this must be for their adoptive families. As an adoptive mom, I know how "hard" we fall for our little adoptees and how quickly they become an integral part of our families.

:rayz: :rayz: :rayz: for the families.

:candle: :candle: :candle: Woodie, Sweetie and Cody, go find Penney and Thunder and play happily together. Go and talk about how you had those silly humans wrapped around your little toes. May God bless each and every one of you. I'm so sorry to hear this news. :-(
