OK I know this topic has come up before but over the last 2-3 months Tanner has developed a new problem. There are times when Tanner doesn't want to be kenneled when I have to go to work or run errands. If I have to pick him up to put him in the kennel he often becomes my little fountain squirting over me and or the floor and furniture. If he is hiding in the cuddlier bed and I just pick up the bed with him in it to take him to the kennel I get one of two things. If he is on his side or stomach the bed gets wet. If he is on his back I'm carrying a fountain. When I can get Tanner to go into the kennel on his own everything stays dry. I'm open to suggestions. Food bribes generally don't work. Giving extra attention to Frank who kennels instantly doesn't help.

Try not putting him in it just when you go away. All of mine spend time as they are learning the house rules in a cage when young. When other dogs come over to stay while either being bred or shown or when one of the girls are in heat. They take turns as to who is out.We use the cookie term, cookie in a very HAPPY voice means cage.I'm training Lily our almost 6 month old now my problem is if the radio goes on it means we are leaving so I mix up between the T.V. and radio and what room I put them in.Try takeing the cage to where he is at the given moment and putting him in it not to just leave.Mess with his mind Doxies have a time clock and a VERY BIG habit mind so change the routine around.
