Hi everyone!
My husband and I are very excited. We were just notified this morning that we will be a new mommy and daddy to Ms. Kayla. Ms. Kayla has had a most nasty, nasty life.....a life that would get alot of you very, very angry as it did me. We fell in love with her picture and couldn't help but to call and ask questions about her. Next thing we knew, we were filling out an application to bring her home and show her what life is really about....(ya know, stockings, toys, pillows, blankets, bobo's, cute outfits, and most of all, love)
Check out her website and see her pictures and read her story. I promise to send pictures as soon as we can get our hands on her.
She can never replace Penney who we lost in August, but I'm sure Penney would be very happy knowing we chose Kayla to have in our home.

She is beautiful - and doesn't look anywhere close to nine - whatever they are supposed to look like. I like the older ones too - and can't wait to hear all about Kayla - I'm so glad that she found her way to her new forever home.

She found a great home-can't get much better than you as her mommy. glad you adopted her. I think Penny found her for you. What a great thing to do. I know I would probably never adopt a puppy, I'd get a senior also. They live so long that I don't want them to out live me.

 Kayla so needs a wonderful, caring home to overcome the issues and hard life that she's had in the past and I know that she will find it with you. She is adorable - missing teeth, broken jaw and all and I can hardly wait to hear about her progress once she joins you. Penney would be very happy and proud of you!! :hugs:

Bless you for adopting this wonderful little girl. DO you know when she gets to come home?
KAYLA'S teeth were so bad that we had to pull them all and on top of that she had a broken jaw but our vet has put a plate on her jaw and once that heals she'll be fine and will be able to eat softened food.
This sounds a lot like GOOSEMan, however they ended up removing all of his teeth and entire bottom jaw. FYI, he can not get soft food -- he eats tiny hard kibble. He was ten when he was saved from one of the worst puppymills in WV.
Good luck - She will blossom inot a loving girl in no time at all.

Melisande: Sad to say, but no they don't know how her jaw became broken. One can only speculate but something tells me I really dont want to know. These mills have to be stopped and Im just not understanding why they haven't been already. The cruelty is so unhumane, I just can't see how some people sleep at night.
