Grooming a long hair yourself

Is it perfectly feasible to groom Tucker by myself? Is there a "how to" somewhere?

Well, so far, all I've had to do is trim his paw fur ~every 3 weeks. I do have all the brushes that he'll eventually need. But I don't know about actally trimming the fur. The only fur I've heard of trimming is the paw fur. :dunno:
