Well, today I went a sprang a poor little odg from a shelter....he is still there, getting neutered tomorrow, assuming he is HW-

He's a doll--but so shy it's pathetic, and SOMETHING ate parts of his ears. And he's just a bag of bones.

Now, I need to think of a name for him.

If It were a girl I would suggest "Hope" , because of people like you there is always hope for these fur-babies.

Lucky sounds like a geat onehttp://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/wink.gif Or maybe "Timmy" kind of a nick name for Timid becasue he is so shy.

Good luck!

<FONT face="Courier New">What means "at last" & "compassion" & "kindness" & "love" & "deserving"</FONT f>. Hmmm..., you're both "jewels" (& you found a jewel in the rough) so how about "Jewel"?
Better yet, whatever touches your heart you wonderful person!<IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm41.gif" border=0>

UPDATE ON THE SAD LITTLE SHELTER BOY...

Well, he now has a name, which is Lance, after Lance Armstrong...cuz he's getting a second chance at life.

Biggest problem: HW+ light, but +, and that's bad. But, the clinic at the shelter thinks he's a good candidate for successful treatment. I've rescued him, and I'll be fostering him for DRNA until he goes to a forever home when he's better.

But, he's a very nice boy...

Please, keep him in your thoughts.

Good news for Lance!!!! So how soon will he start HW treatment? Since is is a light positive do they want him to gain some weight first> You can tell I've never been directly involved in having to treat a HW+ dog. Time will tell if Lance may have already found a forever home. Those shy little ones can be an especially rewarding experience as you watch them come out of their shells. Aggie my little mill mother was very passive shy when I got her.

Best wishes and rays,

Tom and the boys (Frank and Tanner)

Great reason for the name. Sounds like the second chance might not have happened if it weren't for your kindness. http://dachsie.org/ubb/smilies/angel.gif
Looking forward to hearing about his progress, physically and emotionally.
Good for you, wonderful for Lance,

Hooray Lance. Ben was HW+ light when I got him and an old man to boot and he came through the treatment ok. Scared me a time or two but he made it. I will send rays to Lance and wish him a speedy recovery. The new HW treatment is supposed to be much safer and easier on the kidneys, but remember to keep him still...which might be easy if he is so timid. Good luck to Lance.
