Cowboy is 2-3 years old and was not really adopted but resued in a way from a puppy mill. I went there to pick out a new puppy in memory of my Mowglie who died 5 days before. When I saw the place I was ticked, I was not about to contribute to a puppy mill and was on my way out when I saw Cowboys face.....those eyes looked just like Mowglies and since he was older he was no good to them and they were not going to breed him so I took him home and he has been the sweetest doxie ever who has the attitude that he needs all the love becasue he did not get any when he was growing up in that hell hole.....you say his name and he in in yor face wanting you to love hin and kiss him...the whole nine yards...he gets called "Mr Lover". Anyways thats our story.

What a wonderful story! Thank you for rescuing him. I'm sure he gives you twice the love you give him - or at least, he tries to. I really believe rescue dogs appreciate their new homes more than dogs secured from reputable breeders or friends or whatever, simply because they've been on the "other side of the fence."

LUCKY Cowboy and lucky you for having such a wonderful little guy. Beautiful story (except for the part about those horrible conditions!). Glad you rescued him from a doomed life.

It makes me so angry these puppy mills are legal and there is nothing being done to stop them. Uggg, dont get me started.:pullhair:
