How can I find out more about the Earthdog competitions. Schnitzel is quite athletic and I think he'd love this.

The AKC website has a section were you can look up the Earthdog events in your state. Once you find that and click on an event it should tell you who is listing the event and how to contact the club. From their you can contact the local club and get the info you need. My dogs just did their first Earthdog this last weekend. The girl would not do it but my boy Sammy had a good time. I hope he will qualify for his JE title next time. Goodluck

The Trial Advisory Committee (TAC) has begun to oversee earthdog for dachshunds. Hopefully, we will begin having schedules to post in the Voice (the newsletter for TAC). You can check at www.modempool.com/csmith (http://www.modempool.com/csmith) there, you will find links for the TAC website, and the Voice as well.. In the TAC site, there is a section for Den Trials, it gives some information on history, and an introduction to den trials, and if you click on the TAC reps button, you should find a listing for Carol Leutkens, who is the chair of the TAC subcommittee on earthdog. You can write her, and I'm sure she will give you lots of information.
