There is a mini young adult doxie in the Chapel Hill, NC shelter. He is aparrantly on the "thin" side. The shelter person I spoke with said that he seems to be a nervous dog, so they were recommending an experienced doxie home without small kids. But he had not snapped at anyone while in the shelter.

I have not seen him, but am going to try to get down there today to get a picture and evaluate him. My experience with Betty was that the dogs get about 10 days before they are PTS.

This is the same shelter that Betty was in. They do not allow rescue groups to pull the dogs and only adopt to individuals. So, I am posting this in hope that one of the two groups knows a potential adopter in the area. The shelter does not like to get phone calls and won't give out info over the phone.

Please email me if you want any more information about the dog or the shelters adoption policies/adoptions - they don't do same day adoptions.
