I stewarded in obedience at our kennel club show last weekend. Two of Cindi's "grandkids", Frazier and Bronson, ownned by Rhonda Landrey got obedience legs. Frazier got a leg in Utility and Bronson got a leg in Open with placements in their respective classes. Frazier entertained the crowd during the scent article exercise by picking up the articles and flipping them in the air before getting the right one and racing back to Rhonda. He also "killed" the glove in the directed retrieve. He was too cute.
The next day during Bronson's long down exercise in Open, gremlins got into the PA system and we had this horrendous screeching feedback noise. Of the 11 dogs in the ring, 5 held their stay through the commotion, including Frazier. Because of the problem, the judge let all the handlers calm their dogs and re-did the exercise. Amazingly, all the dogs stayed. For those of you who don't know, the handlers are out of site for the open sit and down exercises.
