5wk old Dachshund/Chihuahua Mix pups Dumped at Shelter!! :(

This is Cloe Rose shes 5wks old she and her littermates were dumped off at the shelter yesterday morning. Im on the list of independent rescuers for dachshunds so i got a call to see if i could take one in. I picked the one that looked most like a dachshund she will be going to live with a new family thats been waitting for a new puppy for along time once she gets a little bit older. I just dont see how ppl can dump off little tiny puppies i mean dont they have a heart? They left SOME information though. The mother was a AKC registered red dapple dachshund the father also reg. was a Black/Fawn Chihuahua. She is such a sweetie although she does miss her mommy ALOT since she was NEVER weened <IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm4.gif" border=0> We are working on solid food though she likes it as long as it has some puppy formula mixed with it her teeth are just so tiny!! The other pups in the litter where take by a local Chihuahua rescue.

Anyone who could abandon that little girl at 5 weeks is...well, I'm speechless.

Try baby cereal mixed with just born some pedigree can puppy meat and either ground dry dog food(puppy)I use a blender or soak the dry and mash it.That is what I'm useing on my 5 week old babies.

Shes eating the Gerber Beef babyfood (you cant find pedigree puppy meat around here just the canned puppyfood and that looks icky) and dry kibble soaked in Esibilic puppy formula i think its spelled im too lazy to go get the can plus shes sleeping in my lap ...lol <IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm38.gif" border=0>
She is actually older than Winston was when rescued him from the very same shelter. Sometimes i wonder whats wrong with ppl <IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm23.gif" border=0>
Kaye her color is like the livernose red dachshunds (reds that carry chocolate) Shes got a chocolate nose, nails, and paw pads, but her fur is a light red with only a few black hairs. Hubby and i were trying to figure out how she got that color we determined that her mother (red dapple dachshund) either was a livernose or a red chocolate carrier, and since chihuahua's carry chocolate its possible that her father passed on the chihuahua chocolate gene also. I see a little red nose sweetie there have benn alot of them latley.Did you know in a book I bought from 1965 in England they said mini's were bred down from Chi's and Pom's the Pom's are where they say the Cream gene came from so she can be your little breed down.Oh the canned pedigree is what I use the Lamb& Rice.<IMG SRC="http://dachsie.org/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm37.gif" border=0>

I noticed those eyes at once. What a beauty she is. I would kill for those stunning green eyes. Like everyone else I'm amazed at how some ppl can be. Good job Jen!
