Hello - We have a four month mini dox named Greta who has decided that she does not want to go #2 outside. She's alright with the #1, but has issues with tall grass. We try to correct, but she shows no regret when it happens?? Help!!!!!

It sounds like time to backup to leash or kennel training. You don't want Greta to ever get out of sight and have the oppertunity to do her business in the house. Almost all dogs give some signal before they let go even if it's notheing more than starting to get into the classic arched back posture. Many will circle in the same spot several times before going. You have to be able to read Greta and do something so he doesn't have the oppertunity to do her business in the house. Any time you see activity that looks like whe needs to go you take her outside and reqard her if he goes while outside.

Of course all this is easier to preach than to do. I have the ocassional accident in my home but it's generally when I get too involved with a project. Frank rings the bells at the front door, Tanner Comes and wants me to follow him barking at me if I ignore him. So far it appears Dexter goes to the door and barks. They all are smart enough to know this behavior can get my attention so we do have the ocassiona false alarm.

Dante is having a problem with his new pal. Popper is only 6 1/2 months old, and getting along pretty well with his crate training and potty training. However every now and then Dante (the one that has been housetrained for over a year with a doggie door even) started leaving little gifts for me on the floor.

I have started back to crate training with him. I feel a little bad. He was only crated when we left the house (he has a tendancy to find things to chew).

Does anyone have any suggestions
