Yep, I am adopting Abby. I finally got David convinced, along with Abby also worming herself into his heart...:Sun2: I am so excited, to know that my foster baby will always be my forever baby.

totally deaf, but can see pretty good. I was worried about her sight at first, but its gotten better.
She goes to the vet tomorrow for the last series of puppy shots and then making an appt to spay her if the vet feels she is big enough now.
She is such a spoiled rotten little girl....(dont know how that happened):wavesmile:
We go on the 4 wheeler together, I take her when ever I can. She loves rides.

Hey, I agree with Sandy! Your new darling Abby can be my Mia's twin on the board. She's the only other dachshund I've seen that's even close to having as much white as Mia. I notice a couple of striking differences: no freckles on Abby's belly and toes/Mia has both; Abby has "eyeliner" on one eye and not the other one (how uniquely cute!); and Mia's nose is all black/Abby's is currently pink with freckles. I would think her nose might get darker though, Mia's did. I must have missed a previous post on Abby. Does she have one red ear or both?

She sure is a beautiful little girl. Congratulations on becoming her furever hoomom! (Abby, you are always welcome to come live with your twin, lovely girl. :hearts: Smooches.)

couple of brown spots on her. One on her side then her one ear. Abby is a Double Dapple. This is why she has small eyes and is deaf.

Little Abby is adorable in your photos! Deafness shouldn't be that much of a disability for her, since doxies rarely listen anyway!!! (couldn't resist that one, it's so true!) It is great to hear that her vision seems to have improved. I am sure you are just loving her to pieces, and I hope she stays healthy for a long, long time!!!!!
