Pk, went to the site, they are named Tasha and Charley.
No exact age given but looking at the photos they are really up there in years. Which I believe would make them great candidates for a quiet home with older folks.
It is posted that they would like them to be adopted together. Guess so, if they have been companions all their lives.
Hope this helps,
Roxane and crew

Lucy and pj:
Hat's off to anyone willing to share a home with senior dachsies.
Adopting, especilly from a distance is not a simple operation.
If DRNA or C2CDR (members of this board) have contacts that can help, you would need to fill out an application with them and they would take it from there.
Corn Dog, are you in the area of that shelter, your profile didn't give your location?
You might also want to get in touch with the shelter yourself to find out as much information on the dogs as possible. What are the shelter's fees? Do they work with rescue organizations? Age, health and temperament of the dogs. Do they permit animals in their care to be adopted out of their immediate area?
The more you can find out for yourself, the easier it usually is for a group to assist you.
Again, congratulations for being willing to take senior dogs,
