Help!! I have a miniature dachshie who will be 1 yr old on 9/7. Her name is Anjel. I am at my wits end with her. I can not get her to stop defecating on the floor. I take her out, I watch her go, I bring her in and she goes again. I have limited her food, and I feed her at the same time every day and that doesn't help. I praise her when she goes outside, that doesn't help. I crate her during the day when I go to work and she does not go there. She will go when I take her out and go again when I bring her in no matter how long I keep her out. The vet said to put something over the spot she always go to. I tried that so she goes somewhere else. I blocked her out the room totaly, she goes to another room. I never had this problem with my 7 yr old dachshie. Can someone PLEASE offer me some help??? I just don't know what to do anymore!!!

Have you tried leash training in the house? When she is inside and not in her kennel she is tied to you with a leash (attach it to a belt or something so taht you can keep you hads free. Limiting her sot ath she can't sneak off and be out of site to go in the house. If she starts to act like she is going to go (you should know her warning signs sommon ones include circling or arching a back) take her outside immedately. As far as cleaning up the old spots Nature's Miracle or Simple Solution do a good job of removing odors.

I'm sure others will have additional suggestions.
