Our new baby, Mindy

This is our newest pupper, Mindy. We picked her up from Austin, Texas. Yep, only slightly out of my mind, I drove from Ft. Myers to Austin to get her. The trip was no fun, but she was well worth it.

She has bonded well with the girls, and is well on her way to being spoiled rotten. She is sleeping on the bed with the dh and Daisy and Taffy right now. She's a beauty, and she knows it, lol. So, meet the newest member of the family.....Mindy.

Congratulations! Her foster mom also shared the news with me since I have 3 from the same place and have helped with the last couple transports! Will'em, Goldie and Flower want to thank you for taking in one of their friends.

Silly me, I thought I was going to get another girl for me. HA! She is soooo in love with her daddy that she can't see me. :sosad: She carried on when he went out for about an hour, and just could not believe that he would leave her. Duh...are we in trouble? I am making him change his appt for his hair cut to Friday so that I am home with her.

She is still not too sure about grass and the great outdoors, and just mostly stands there when we take her out. I have put pee pads out for her, and she decided to use a piece of newspaper that was left laying on the floor. I thought that was funny....paper training herself?

She is so tiny, even tho she is as big as Taffy is...just so much more delicate. Not a big eater, but we are working on that. Taffy didn't weight much more than this when I first brought her home, either. Of course, I never had a problem getting her to eat, lol.

She is such a little sweetheart, - I just hope she decides she can let me share her too :hearts::hearts::hearts:

We recently got back from driving to So. Carolina to pick up little "Auggie Doggie".( aka oscar).. Like you said, a long drive but well worth it :hearts:

You must have a different kind of grass than I do. She was ok with my grass as long as it was mowed. I am thrilled to hear she likes DH. She was none too thrilled with any of the men I took her around. I am so glad she is fitting in so well!! Give her a kiss for me! I am sure she will realize you are there to love too!

A lot of our grass is stiff. Gretchen absolutely hated it. Of course, my yard is made up of a wonderful variety of weeds, grass and wildflowers. And apparently some very tasty roots, if you can believe my two little diggers.

Mindy seems to adore her daddy. She remembers I'm around, but it's him that makes her day.

She didn't want to eat today, but she ate well yesterday, so maybe she just felt off today.

She was kept in a small pen on concrete. I find that Goldie and Flower will not go on grass... they will usually run across it, but poops and pees have to be on concrete. They have definite likes and dislikes and Goldie still is afraid certain people.

She is bonding very well with my other two girls. They were doing zoomies thru the house tonight until they wore themselves out. She got to try on Taffy's jean jacket. Looks like she will be happy to be dressed, too.

I think I look so pretty in this jacket. It has a star, just like Texas
