Rosie is a VERY happy girl on Lead. She has gotten many reserves. Each judge who gives her a reserve usually has the SAME comment..."I would have given her winners if she had walked better on the lead." I make the mistake of praising her in the ring of which she immediately gets a "Wiggle Butt", it is such an impulsive thing for me to praise them that I forget I can't praise her, it needs to be ALL business for Rosie. When I took her in for Best of Variety, she was walking so well it just slipped out :D , I said Good Girl Rosie and that was IT, it was wiggle butt the rest of the way around the ring. When I talked to the judge during pictures he said he would have given her best of winners but she just didn't walk very well on the lead during the BOV competition..Oh well the wire boy got the cross over and the 5 points too. If you've never worked with a Piebald it would be hard to explain their temperment. To get a 5 second stand out of them is nearly an impossible feat. I have to litterally hold their muzzles with a firm grasp to get them to hold their stand on the table. Unless of course they are not in the least bit happy about showing, then they might stand their all day with this less than amused look on their face, actually Rosie is better on the table than Cinder and Cinder is better at the movement around the ring than Rosie. Cinder KNOWS I have treats in the pocket and she is very attentive to me, too bad she isn't as nice as Rosie because she is a show bug. Cinder's only real fault is obvious when she is coming at you (something I have to let someone else lead her around to actually see it)http://romandachs.com/1cinderrun06032002.JPG Obviously NOT showing here, she does have one crooked leg which she has decided to cross over the other on movement...sigh...they all have faults, just some are more obvious than others:flower: Rosie also got the honor of Best Wire in Sweeps the same day under Phyllis Rosinsky. Phyllis told me the next day that she caught a lot of slack from a lot of people for putting Rosie up, but she told me she obviously wasn't the only one who liked her. I had Charlie and Dreamer entered in Sweeps too, both of them won their classes (both sexes combined in the classes and divided by varieties) Dreamer whom I just got back from the "Show" home I sold her to, won her class everyday I showed her, she is a recessive long who may never "Drip" in coat but she is very well put together and moves like a dream. Anyway, Thanks for posting and Admiring my Rosie!
