OK.. I know he can't read this but I need to give a big ole GOOD BOY to Jake. He is taking to houstraing great! I crate (I prefer to call it "putting Jake in his house" during th day when I am at work. As soon as I get home we go outside. I don't even put him on his lease till we get outside (found out Jake was getting so excited he was "dripping' before we got outside). He went right away. I started taking him out right after he eats... found out it works better about 30 minutes after he eats!
The past few days Jake has started running to the door to go outside! I am sooooo happy he is "getting it". Of course... when we have a sunny and 75 degree day... he is there every 5 minutes to go out :cool:
Last night was the end of a VERY BUSY day for Jake and me. I ened babysitting my 4 year old neice all day. She has 2 mini's herself so she knows how to behave around Dachsies. She and Jake were playing hard for about 6 hours! After they left Jake ran to the door, before I could get my shoes on he pooped on the floor... but I couldn't compain.. he was at the door...I wasn't fast enough...
To make my long story short... Keep at it. When it doesn't seem like your little one is going to be housetrained give it time... they will suprise you and make your week by knowing what to do when they get the tingle!
