Disc problems

Yesterday Star was in pain and had trouble holding her hind legs up. I took her to the Emergency pet hospital and they said it was a disc disease and put her on Steroids. Today she is fine so I guess the steroids are working. I know I need to limit jumping and stairs but I do have 3 other dogs so I cant stop her from playing. Anyone with a doxie that has this condition have any words of wisdom ?

It would be a good idea to use a kennel, x-pen or a room with a gate to keep Star seperated from the others for a couple of weeks. Let the steroids do their job and give her some quiet time for things to mend on their own before she is allowd to roughouse with the others. I suspect you won't be able to eliminate that rough play if she and the others are use to it. Good luck and we hope for a continued speedy recovery with no future problems.
