Alright... We get to go home for Christmas this year! YAY!!
Anyway... Brody has already met his "sister" Tache who is a doxie rescue mix (she came to our house to meet him). When we go to Ian's parent's house (where will be staying over a few nights) Brody will be meeting his two other brothers and one sister. They are larger dogs and it will be on their territory...they have NO problems with people but aren't often around other animals I don't think.
Any suggestions?!?!
I don't want to have to keep either crated the whole time. And I REALLY don't want to have to leave him at my mom's on the way up and be without him... but that is always an option.

I would be really really careful, only because if the big dogs start playing rough it could hurt your little man...I would still bring your pup so he can be with you...But be very very slow in introducing him to the big dogs...and I wouldn't leave them alone with your dog...Maybe take you dog out to go potty seperatly...I'm sure others will chime in but I would be very careful especially if the big dogs haven't been around other dogs/animals to much...and especially since your little guy is way smaller then the bigger dogs...Just my opinion :) What is the sex of the other dogs and are they altered? Just curious

They should meet Brody on "neutral" territory ie at a park down the street, or at least walking outside off their property; then come "home" together.
This way Brody will not be the "intruder" on their space.
A baby gate might be a good thing to bring along, so Brody can have some "safe" space but still see the people.

I was going to suggest the same thing. A baby gate would be a good idea to have if it is needed.
I had the same problem with Minnie and my brothers lab Saylor. But they are the best of buds now. However, Harley is still unsure of Saylor and wants to protect Minnie all the time. So we keep him separated unless we can constantly watch him. He is fine with her as long as Saylor doesn't start to play with Minnie. Then he gets protective.
Good Luck.

I agree with this and the advice about him being around bigger dogs. When they are not raised together from puppyhood - there is a big difference in how they get along and play together.

Thanks soo much everyone! There are 2 males (one altered and one that is not yet) and one female who is altered.
We were planning on meeting on "neutral" territory and I wouldn't leave them unsupervised (I can be a worrier)! All such great ideas!! So glad I have you all!!
