Dixie just got her AKC papers in the mail today. I am sooooo excited:cheer:. She is official now. "Brie's Lil Miss Dixie Doodle" is her name. I love looking at her heritage on the sheet they enclosed.
I am headed out tomorrow to get a frame for it.:happy030:

We don't know anything about showing dogs. We just fell in love with the breed and got her this past summer after our long time dog "Champ" died having lived 16 great years. He was part Dachshund.
I picked the first name as Brie because that is her mom's name. The wierd thing is that our son picked "Dixie" as her name when we got her. Several weeks AFTER we had her name chosen, I looked at her heritage....her greatgrandmother's name was DIXIEDOODLE!!!!! I about fell out of my chair! We started calling her DixieDoodle right after we got her just because it sounded cute....not knowing about her GG! The other wierd part is that her Grandmother has the name Brentwood in her AKC name and that is the street we live on!!!!!!!!!! It is all VERY strange! Too many coincedences to think about.
Anyway, thanks for the compliments....and yes....we love her to pieces with or without the registration! According to her heritage she has A LOT of English cream in her bloodline. Is that why she has the very "stocky/sturdy/muscular" looking front legs???? See the pic below. Even though the pic doesn't show them as much they are really thick. I've always wondered about that. I am going to start a new thread about thick legs in case not enough people see this one. Thanks again! We are very proud of her:happy030:. p.s. That is her BIG brother in the picture with her...his name is "NetterButter".

:cheer::cheer::cheer: on receiving the papers!!! Wow, there sure are an awful lot of coincidences with her name - I think it was obviously in the stars that you should have her!!
