:wahooo:Happy New Year (almost)!!!

We took Charlie today for his rabies vaccination. He was pretty good in the car but seemed very confused that his sisters weren't coming. It was sad in a way. I think he may have thought "Wow, now that I'm happy with my new mom's & sisters, they're taking me away". We kept reassuring him that this was a quick visit and that he'd be home soon. He was very well behaved, although NOT thrilled about having his nails trimmed. I just told him that he was looking very stylish in his matching harness & leash. :0210:

He's went from 14 to 18 pounds since we adopted him, and looks healthy & wonderful! The vet commented that he looked like a new dog, saying that his weight is perfect for his body build - he must be a happy dog. :Sun2:

The one thing that Linda and I both noticed was the "look" that he gave both of us at the vet's office. You know the look. It says "OK, I TRUST YOU! You will not allow these people to harm me and you will bring me home with you."

It was a very sweet and moving moment for us to see our Charlie Brown put his faith in us. We knew the "look", we'd seen it in Casper so many times before. When the mill dog becomes, and knows, that they are a precious and beloved part of your family it is the most amazing and wonderful moment of all.

Happy New Year to All!!!!!!!!!!!!:wahooo:

I don't know how else to say it. The "look" was an amazing thing for our Charlie. He stared into our eyes, and we knew that this was a major defining moment. He knew & realized how much we loved him. He is a fantastic little guy. Much shame on those who caused him pain & heartache previously.

Our baby is HOME!

We have a Charlie rescue too We got him from a private family with kids that teased the crap out of him and made him nasty mean. He was fine when I went to pick him up but when I got him home he did a 180 and was wild. But now he has him tennis ball and goes to the pet store (where you have to make sure no one tries to just pat him) He will get up in my lap and put his arms around my neck and hug me and sleeps in bed under the covers. And he also has alot of coats that I have made him
