When we got Dixie's AKC papers in the mail....I started searching the internet and found her grandparents and great grandparents!!! I couldn't believe my luck. It was so much fun and now I am starting a scrap book about her and her heritage. Here are just 3 of them.

How exciting you have found her grandparents. I think a scrapbook is a great idea. You'll have alot of fun putting it together.:D

I know I will. The only thing is I hope I don't make our human kids feel neglected since I ALMOST have more pics of Dixie than I do them!!! Even if they do....they will get over it since they are 17 and 21 now:rolleyes:.

I have filled up a 300 picture photo album with Zachs pictures when hes was about 2 years old. Im working on my second photo album. I took alot more when he was a puppy...I think thats pretty much expected tho.

Wow! How cool is that! How did you come up with the pictures - through AKC or just by putting in the names and searching? That is awesome! Dixie has a great looking family and they passed those genes on to beautiful little Dixie.

I found the names on her Pedigree cert. and just did a search on the names. The names were then in the description of that web page. I would just look at the webpage name and go to all of the kennels that sounded like that. That is where I would find their pictures. In some cases it was more investigative work. I always wanted to be a detective or PI.
It's so cool because I can see Dixie in parents and especially grandparents:hug2::hearts:.

That is so absolutely unbelievable- wonderful pictures. Gee I wonder if i could get pics of Gunther's parents. (Now here comes the confession... Many yrs ago (14) we bought him out of a pet store. Mind you, a very expensive pet store that reportedly the "rich and famous" visited (clearly not us).) When we looked at the pedigree, we saw that his mom was just a pup-yikes. But still it would be great to see his ancesters!
